- Analyse the information in the dataset “Gaming-related media sources - Discord” for the first quarter of 2023
- Supplement the lists of Discord servers with parameters from the second quarter of 2024
Research Methodology
The data for Discord servers was collected in 2020 and updated in the first quarter of 2023.
In the second quarter of 2024, the list was supplemented with the following parameters: Name, Link, B2B/B2C, Status, Activity, Followers, Description, and Language. The new parameters are marked as “Q2 2024”.
For a detailed explanation of each parameter, please refer to the “Gaming-related media sources Q2 2024 - Discord” document, tab “Legend”.
The average number of followers is calculated as the total number of followers divided by the number of channels.

The collected information does not claim absolute data completeness.
The data on Discord servers was collected in the first quarter of 2020. The list of Discord servers was not updated in the second quarter of 2024.
The assignment of Alive or Dead status to Discord servers began in the second quarter of 2024.
The metrics in the sections "Affinity," "Parent Source," "B2B/B2C," "Status," "Type," "Followers," "Locale," and "Language" correspond to the active Discord servers in the second quarter of 2024.
The report presents data on active Discord servers.
In the Locale section, the values "World" and "Mixed" are not considered countries, but they are included in the overall list.
Short Insights
- The dataset contains 1,426 Discord servers from the gaming industry;
- 951 of them had status “Alive”;
- 880 of them were B2C;
- The overall average number of followers is 5,543.
