Description

This is a gambling/iGaming YouTube marketing inventory list for 2023, containing 2718 YouTube channels related to iGaming, including their contact details.

The dataset will be most useful for your business if you are or represent a:

Research Goals and Objectives

  • Collection of YouTube channels related to gambling topics;
  • Popularity evaluation of YouTube channels in the gambling community;
  • Formation of a dataset that ranks gambling-related YouTube channels;
  • Popularity evaluation of YouTube channel categories in the gambling community.

Research Methodology

YouTube channels were collected via open sources using the following search methods:

  • Open Google Search;
  • Accounts search on YouTube itself;
  • YouTube account collection via other social networks: Facebook, Twitter, Telegram, Discord, Instagram, Twitch, TikTok, and Reddit.

The collected accounts’ popularity was evaluated based on the following metrics:

  • Social Blade:
    • Total Grade — a visual representation of the "Social Blade Rank" (or SB Rank), based on a particular channel’s rating, compared to the rest of the database;
    • Likes Rank — a particular channel’s place in the top YouTube channel chart based on their cumulative number of likes.

Disclaimers

The study contains channels that take part in the formation of the gambling community. The study did not specifically collect gambling-only channels. The list includes bloggers and streamers who write about gambling or are known to engage in gambling activities. The collected information does not claim absolute completeness and is intermediate in the planned research cycle.

Conclusions

For the “Conclusions” section, the data is sorted into several groups as can be seen below. For details, see Addendum . In the course of the study, a dataset of 2718 YouTube channels associated with gambling was formed. Of these, 238 do not have a “Total Grade” indicator and thus were not taken into account during calculations. The final conclusions are based on 2480 YouTube channels.

Subscribers:

  • 1774 channels with less than 10,000 subscribers;
  • 489 channels with between 10,000 and 100,000 subscribers;
  • 198 channels with between 100,000 and 1,000,000 subscribers;
  • 19 channels with over 1,000,000 subscribers.

Video Views:

  • 1706 channels with less than 1 million views;
  • 465 channels with between 1 and 10 million views;
  • 241 channels with between 10 and 100 million views;
  • 60 channels with between 100 million and 1 billion views;
  • 8 channels with over 1 billion views.

Country:

  • 85 channels from Canada;
  • 97 channels from the UK;
  • 162 channels from Russia;
  • 190 channels from Brazil;
  • 338 channels from the USA;
  • 834 channels from 70 other countries;
  • 774 channels that did not specify their country of origin.

Gambling Content:

  • 636 secondary channels that do not publish gambling content, but are related to influencers dealing with gambling topics on other social media;
  • 1844 channels specifically dedicated to gambling topics.

Total Grade:

  • 192 channels with the “TBD” rank;
  • 65 channels with the “D” rank;
  • 1429 channels with the “C” rank;
  • 793 channels with the “B” rank;
  • 1 channel with the “A” rank.

Channel Type1:

  • 28 “Education”-type channels;
  • 126 “Sports”-type channels;
  • 298 “People”-type channels;
  • 432 “Entertainment”-type channels;
  • 766 “Games”-type channels;
  • 110 channels divided among 10 other types;
  • 720 channels that do not have a specified type.

  • Most of the collected YouTube channels have average social activity;
  • “Total Grade A” is only presented in the “100k - 1m subs” section. High social activity leads to an increase in the number of subscribers.

  • YouTube channels with the “Games” Channel Type have, on average, more subscribers, which suggests that the “Games”-type channels are the most attractive to the gambling community audience.

  • Search for advanced user engagement metrics;
  • Channel activity field categorization;
  • Analysis of marketing trends and promotional flyers;
  • Identification of regional affiliations;
  • Showcase of advertising pricing models;
  • Expansion of the general account list, as well as regional lists for Asia & Pacific, MENA.

For visualization convenience, “Subscriber” numbers are averaged to these values:

  • <10k” — channels with less than 10,000 subscribers;
  • 10k - 100k” — channels with over 10,000 but less than 100,000 subscribers;
  • 100k - 1m” — channels with over 100,000 but less than 1 million subscribers;
  • >1m” — channels with over 1,000,000 subscribers.

For visualization convenience, “Total Grade2” values are averaged as follows:

  • TBD” — remains the same;
  • D” — concatenates Total Grades with the following values: D+, D;
  • C” — concatenates Total Grades with the following values: C+, C, C-;
  • B” — concatenates Total Grades with the following values: B+, B, B-;
  • A” — concatenates Total Grades with the following values: A++, A+, A, A-.

For visualization convenience, “Video Views” values are averaged as follows:

  • <1m” — channels with less than 1 million views;
  • 1m - 10m” — channels with between 1 and 10 million views;
  • 10m - 100m” — channels with between 10 and 100 million views;
  • 100m - 1b” — channels with between 100 million and 1 billion views;
  • >1b” — channels with over 1 billion views.

Additionally:

  • 100 channels were banned/deleted during dataset collection;
  • 238 channels do not have a “Total Grade” indicator and are not taken into account during calculations.
